Who Can Enrol at St Felix Primary School?  st_felix_religion_image-1

Children from all families who are prepared to support Catholic ideals and principles may be considered for enrolment at St Felix School.

Priority for enrolment is given in the following order:

1. Children of Catholic families, who are actively involved in the parish community of St Felix, Bankstown.
2. Children of Catholic families residing in other parishes, such families being actively involved in their home parishes.
3. Children of families affiliated to churches in communion with the Roman Catholic Church, who, for reasons deemed sufficient, seek enrolment in the school.
4. Children of Catholic families residing within the parish of St Felix, Bankstown.
5. Children of Catholic families residing in other parishes.
6. Children of Orthodox or other Christian families.
7. Children of families with other religious convictions.

How do I enrol?

For children starting school for the first time:

St_Felix_9.4.09_4Children must turn five years old before 31 st July in the year they start school.

Enrolment packages may be collected from the school office between March and May. The official enrolment period for new Kindergarten students is the month of May. During the weeks following the Enrolment Committee (Principal, Parish Priest and Parent) consider all applications for Kindergarten according to the priority order listed in the Enrolment Policy.

For children transferring to St Felix Primary School

Enrolment packages may be collected from the school office at any time during the year. An interview with the Principal will be arranged when the application form is returned. An interview with the Parish Priest may also be required.

Note: At times, waiting lists are held for classes. If a vacancy occurs in that class ALL the enrolment applications received are considered according to the priority order in the Enrolment policy.

Note: A non refundable enrolment fee of $35 must be paid when lodging your application.

Documents needed to enrol your child include:

      Birth Certificate 
      Baptismal Certificate 
      Immunisation Records 
      Passport (if newly arrived in the country) 
Children seeking enrolment for Years 1 to 6 will need to provide a copy of the last school report (and their NAPLAN Report if applicable) from the school they are currently attending.

How much are the fees?

Annual School Fees (2010) for children attending Catholic systemic primary schools are as follows:

2nd Child: $612                                     2nd Child: $204
3rd Child: $459                                      3rd Child: $153

4th, and subsequent child at any Catholic Systemic School, are not charged these School Fees.

Other charges include:

Book/Resource Fee (per child per year): $123:00

Administration Fee (per child per year): $159:00

Technology Fee (per child per year): $41:00

Parish Building Levy (per family per year): $369:00 (Split between other Catholic Systemic Schools).
